  Lily Dickson is a legally blind Multimedia artist. Lily attends the Kansas City Art Institute earning her BFA in painting. She makes art that emphasizes tactility by creating a diverse landscape of texture within her work. Lily enjoys experimenting with as many materials as possible, and her favorite part of the creating process is getting messy- she wears paint-stained clothes as a memorial to all the pieces she has created. Lily’s goal is to create a community and culture of accessibility and acceptance for artists with special needs and abilities. Through art, Lily has found the freedom to be herself and is committed to helping others feel the same way. 

"Growing up with special needs and accommodations had its challenges but through art, I found the freedom to be myself". Through her work in the community and the region, Lily encourages others to do the same.
